TallyGenicom, a leading provider of focussed business printers, today announced two new additions to its ever-popular dot matrix printer range, with the introduction of its 2440 and 2540 models. Both printers have been specifically designed to provide high performance document printing for today’s busy back office environments.

In environments such as retail, healthcare and local government where high volume, compact printers are the norm, the TallyGenicom 2440 and 2540 will ensure high standards of reliability and readability of vital documents. The new models are ideal for the most demanding environments; both the 2440 and 2540 can provide high print speeds of up to 576 characters per second (cps) and can easily change between different types of print media, including labels, invoices, reports and multi part forms.

The 2440 and 2540 are ideal for applications where fast print speeds, throughput and flexible paper management are vital. Both printers feature an option for 9 or 24 pin print heads to support different print quality requirements suitable for narrow and wide format printing. Capable of producing 20,000 pages per month, with a ribbon life of 8 million characters, coupled with a wealth of connectivity options such as RS232 and Ethernet, these new dot matrix printers offer a cost effective solution.
